The German magazine "Computer Bild" tested eight new Pc Firewalls in its 17/2001 issue. Normal Personal Firewall achieves the "Best Buy Award". 

From the test in "Computer Bild" (translated from German): "When the NPF is installed, it protects your PC against Backdoor-Programs and system crashes from hacker-attacks from the Internet".

All current ProxyNow! user are advise to upgrade to version 2.53. This is a maintenance release which fixes some known bugs. Please follow these steps to update your ProxyNow!:- (Note:- If you are using a version prior to 2.52, please send the file "proxynow.cfg" in windows folder and "license.lic" in ProxyNow! folder to cychan@internetnow.com.my and wait for a reply before proceeding)

1) Stop ProxyNow! Server service.
2) Backup the ProxyNow! folder.
3) Backup the file "proxynow.cfg" in windows folder.
4) Delete all files and folders in ProxyNow! folder except   the file "license.lic".
5) Download the file www.internetnow.com.my/download/proxynow9x.exe if the operating system of your proxy server is Windows 95, 98, or Me. Download the file www.internetnow.com.my/download/proxynownt.exe if the operating system of your proxy server is Windows NT or 2000.
6) Run the file you downloaded in previous step and extract all files and folders to ProxyNow! folder.
7) Start ProxyNow! Server service.
