Internetnow secures worldwide license agreement with Norman Data Defense Systems for its My FirewallNow!.
Armarda Hotel , Petaling Jaya, 25 August 2000 - Internetnow, an Internet technology provider, today announced that it has signed an OEM agreement for the worldwide distributions and licensing rights of My FirewallNow! with Norman Data Defense Systems. The contract will take effect by September 2000.
The contract is timely for both parties. Norman has been on the lookout since early this year for such a product like My FirewallNow to complement its multi-award winning Norman Virus Control. In fact, Norman will also be launching its next version, Norman Virus Control 5.0 within this few months. For internetnow, this is a significant milestone not only in terms of monetary gains. The contract for internetnow is value starting from about RM500,000 to million of ringgits in the middle term. Beyond monetary gains are the penetration into the worldwide market and the sharing of R&D expertise.
Internetnow is now confident that it can achieve a 100% growth for this year. The company is projecting a turnover of RM1.2 million to RM 1.5 million as compared to a turnover of RM550,000 for 1999.
