New Features

There has been fantastic response to the previous ReportNow! version. Working together with users, we have been able to identify and rapidly develop several new features in ReportNow! 2.1. These features include and not limited to:

1) AUTOMATED TASK IMPORTING AND REPORT GENERATION SERVICE WITH TASK SCHEDULER

In the previous versions of ReportNow! you would have to spend your precious time to manually import the log files before generating the reports. This process was repetitive and time consuming. Now, you can ask the Task Scheduler to do it for you, by defining a task to either periodically import your log files or generate your reports. In addition, Task Scheduler can email any generated report to you!

Note: Task Scheduler requires Windows 2000 or above (Window 9x are not supported) to run smoothly.

2) ASTARO FIREWALL HTTP LOG FILE SUPPORT

Astaro product portfolio features easy-to-use "all-in-one" security gateways that enable IT managers to effectively protect their network from malicious Internet based threats. In ReportNow! 2.1, you can import this log file format to view the HTTP traffic of an Astaro firewall proxy server.With the support of Astaro Firewall HTTP log files, the task of identifying sites and files downloaded from sites are made easier! ReportNow! can now report on the source, type, size and duration of files downloaded from different sites and the details of the sites. You can easily find out the type of files which employees in your organisation's internet. For more information of the Astaro product, kindly visit www.astaro.com.

3) NEW REPORT TYPE - COMPARISON BETWEEN DATABASES REPORT
This is a new report, generated based on the comparison between two or more databases of your organization. With ReportNow! 2.1, it is possible to extract information from the log files from two or more databases in ReportNow! to generate a chart, which show the comparison between databases.Comparison between databases can be made based on 4 categories which are, Size, Hits, Messages and Duration. You can immediately see at a glance, the difference between the databases.

4) BETTER REPORT PRESENTATION - EXPORTING IMAGES IN REPORTS

With this version of ReportNow!, you can now export all the images that appear in your reports (logos, charts etc). This is made possible by the support of exporting to Portable Document Format (PDF) or Windows Metafile (WMF).
